Lecturer: photojournalism and digital media, Namibia University of Science and Technology

I have a MA degree in journalism and media studies from Rhodes University. I am currently a PhD (media studies) candidate (awaiting final examination of thesis) at the University of the Witwatersrand. My PhD thesis is entitled 'Owning the Image: Photography as a means of empowerment in contemporary Namibia'. I have 6 years' teaching and research experience, and 10 years' experience as a journalist in Namibia and South Africa.
