Huw Joseph Horgan

My research examines what lies beneath Antarctica's great ice streams and ice shelves. I've completed 13 Antarctic seasons, most recently as Co-PI and science lead for Project-1 (Antarctic Ice Dynamics) of Aotearoa New Zealand's Antarctic Science Platform. I'm currently based in Switzerland where I'm a staff scientist at the Laboratory of Hydraulics, Hydrology and Glaciology (VAW), ETH Zurich. I am also an Associate Professor in the Antarctic Research Centre at Victoria University of Wellington in Aotearoa New Zealand.
