Ady is a professor of public health at the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Bali, Indonesia. He is a board certified family physician, and also a travel medicine practitioner.
His research interests include global health, travel health, tourism's health, occupational health and family medicine. He is currently the principal investigator of the integrated travel health surveillance and information system at destinations (TravHeSID) project. He is also the co-founder of Bali Travel Health, Bali Expat Health, and Kesmas TV.
