Associate Professor of History, The University of Queensland

I am an ARC Future Fellow and Associate Professor in the Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities at the University of Queensland. My books include Of Apes and Ancestors: Evolution, Christianity, and the Oxford Debate (2009), The Science of History in Victorian Britain (2011), and Victorian Jesus: J. R. Seeley, Religion, and the Cultural Significance of Anonymity (2017). I'm currently working on a project that seeks to reassess the Darwinian Revolution.
