Associate Professor, Vegetation Ecology and Management, Charles Sturt University

Ian Lunt lectures in vegetation ecology and ecosystem management. Before returning to university, Ian worked as a field botanist and conservation planner for government agencies in Victoria.

Ian's research interests include ecological restoration, grassland and woodland management, and historical changes in Australian ecosystems. Ian has published over 70 refereed scientific papers and book chapters, and many popular articles. He co-wrote the popular field guide to grassland and woodland plants, Plains Wandering: Exploring the Grassy Plains of South-east Australia, published by the Victorian National Parks Association and Trust for Nature.
