Professor of Entrepreneurship and Regional Economic Development, Northumbria University, Newcastle

Dr Ignazio Cabras is Professor of Entrepreneurship and Regional Economic Development at Newcastle Business School. His research interests are focused on economics and environment, with particular emphasis on regional growth and development, public sector management, employment issues, urban-rural dynamics, community cohesion and social capital, industry and innovation, knowledge economies and ICT.

Ignazio's publication record includes more than 50 published works comprising journal articles, books and book chapters, and research reports. He peer-reviews articles for British and international scientific journals on regular basis. He is also member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the International Journal of Public Sector Management, Regional Studies Regional Science, Education and Training; and co-Editor of Regions, the quarterly newsletter of the Regional Studies Association.

Ignazio is a proud member of CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) and a big supporter of Cagliari, a football team which plays in the Italian Serie A (dai Casteddu!)
