Lecturer in French Studies, University of Westminster

My research focuses on the memory of colonialism in Britain and France. It examines the ways colonial history has been mobilised in political debates in both countries and in the negotiation of multicultural societies. I am interested in the way activism, politicians, journalists and other actors have contributed to the emergence of memory cultures about colonial history in France and Britain.
Simultaneously, I am also working on the shifts in political affiliations of Jewish communities in France and Sweden and explore the ways communities have reacted to the rise of the far-right and changes on the left.
