Associate Professor in Fluvial Geomorphology, The University of Queensland

I have a PhD in Geomorphology and was awarded an ARC Postdoctoral Fellowship in 1991 to come to study palaeoenvironmental change in Lake Eyre, central Australia. Since then I have been a researcher and teacher at a range of organisations. Most recently I have led a large team of scientists investigating the timing of extreme flood events as occurred in Brisbane in 2011 and 2013. I am passionate about translating science into management and informing the community.
