Specialist Registrar in Obstetrics and Gyanecology, Doctoral Research Fellow, Queen Mary University of London

Jan is specialist trainee in obstetrics & gynaecology, currently undertaking her PhD within the Women’s Health Research Unit at Queen Mary University of London. She is interested in understanding the impact of haematological disorders on women in pregnancy and post delivery.

Jan is a member of the Ferritin Working Group within the World Health Organization and has contributed evidence to international and national guidelines on iron deficiency and anaemia in pregnancy. She is also on the guideline writing group for the British Society for Haematology.

Alongside her doctoral studies Jan has a keen interest in public engagement and co-leads Katie's Team, an East London Women's Health patient and public involvement group interested in working with the local community to improve awareness and participation in research.
