James is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Leeds University Business School / Centre for Employment Relations and Change (CERIC). James research interests are in two streams. The first looks at knowledge, skills and communities of practice based approaches to learning. James is active in researching knowledge transfer in the UK Fire & Rescue Service. The second looks at emotional labour in the financial services sector where James is currently undertaking ethnographic research. James is an EQA for the CIPD.
