James Gacek is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Justice Studies at the University of Regina, Canada. He has lectured in criminology and criminal justice at the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg. While his research interests are many, he continues to publish in the areas of institutional and community corrections; green criminology; and the socio-legal contexts underpinning judicial decisions.
