Postdoctoral research associate, University of Bath

James is a postdoctoral research associate working in Evolutionary Biology. His research is focused on understanding parallel evolution as a stepping stone toward answering the question: can we accurately predict the future of evolution? To achieve this, James works primarily as a molecular microbiologist and complements his lab work with in silico analyses.

Outside of academia, James has garnered experience in science journalism and communication through his time on the editorial team for two science magazines at Imagine/Future Publishing.
