James S. Johnson

Honorary Fellow, University of Leicester

Dr. Johnson holds a Ph.D. in Politics & International Relations from the University of Leicester, and a Masters degree in Asia-Pacific Studies. He has worked in the financial services sector for 20 years, of which over ten years have been spent in the Greater China region. James has published research and presented papers at conferences in the following areas: Security and Strategic Studies; US-China Relations; Nuclear Proliferation; China Foreign Policy; and East Asian Security. Dr Johnson is the author of the forthcoming book, "The US-China Military & Defense Relationship during the Obama Presidency", with Palgrave Macmillian. James is fluent in Mandarin.
