Jamie Furlong

I have a PhD in Social Statistics from the University of Southampton, where I wrote a thesis examining the changing drivers of General Election results across the geography of England and Wales. I also worked as a Targeting Analyst and Targeting and Analysis Manager at the Labour Party HQ between 2018 and 2021, in addition to a temporary role for the Labour Party during the 2017 General Election.

More recently, I have applied my statistical expertise to work around active travel, and in my role at Westminster University I am appointed on an NIHR project to examine the efficacy of Low Traffic Neighbourhoods in London. I examine quantitative data to understand if they reduce through-traffic, increase walking and cycling and have any effects on nearby 'boundary roads'.
