Jamie Stone has a BSc in Medical Microbiology and Virology from The University of Warwick (2010) and an MSc in Food Security also from The University of Warwick (2012). Jamie has experience in the field of sustainable development in a UK setting with Localise West Midlands (2012) and in an international development context with APT Action on Poverty (2013). He joined Loughborough University in 2014 as a Doctoral Research Student where his research explores resilience of UK food supply chains in the context of sustainable manufacturing of food.

He has strong interests in sustainability in food supply chains and wider issues of food security. The goal of his current research is to develop and model a number of food waste valorisation technologies. However, he also has ongoing research interests surrounding ways of enhancing resilience in food supply chains. He also has a keen interest in related areas of policy development and stakeholder engagement on issues of sustainability across the value chain.
