Dr Jan Scheurer is a Senior Research Fellow at the School of Built Environment, Curtin University and a member of the Future Cities Lab, an Honorary Associate at the Centre for Urban Research (CUR), RMIT University, and a frequent visitor at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and RMIT Europe (Barcelona). Jan’s areas of expertise are urban design, transport and accessibility planning, sustainability policy and mobility culture.
Since 2007, he has developed the Spatial Network Analysis for Multimodal Urban Transport Systems (SNAMUTS) tool for land use-transport integration and has been involved in international research and development collaborations around accessibility measures in Germany (TU Hamburg), Portugal (University of Porto), the Netherlands (University of Amsterdam and Goudappel Coffeng), Norway (Norwegian University of Life Sciences and Environment), Sweden (Göteborg University), Canada (Concordia University), Finland (University of Helsinki) and the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP) Transport Research Group.
