Jane-Heloise Nancarrow

Honorary Research Associate, The University of Western Australia

Dr Nancarrow is an early-career researcher who has published on digital technologies for museums and cultural heritage; 3D visualisation, and medieval buildings archaeology. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in History from the University of York, UK, and is an Honourary Research Fellow at the University of Western Australia. Dr Nancarrow is excited by the potential for emerging visualisation technologies to change the way we study and interpret the past; and is deeply committed to outreach and education for history and digital humanities. She led the 2016 project 'Emotions3D: Bringing Digital Heritage of Emotions to Life' at the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for the History of Emotions (Europe, 1100-1800) (CHE); and was a co-founder of AVRL (Accelerated Virtual and Augmented Reality), which promoted professional development opportunities for industry and research staff in virtual and augmented reality.
