Assistant Professor of Pharmacotherapeutics, University of South Florida

Dr. Jasmine Cutler hails from Odessa, Florida, and earned her PharmD from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Florida in 2007. She later obtained her pharmacy consultant license and is certified to administer immunizations. She worked as a community pharmacist for seven years with Sweetbay Supermarkets before pursuing a two-year Interdisciplinary Women’s Health Fellowship at University of South Florida. During her fellowship, she performed various duties at the Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute, assisting with the interdisciplinary Care Clinic, medication reconciliation, and medication education. In addition, she was able to obtain a Women’s Health Graduate Certificate, a USF pharmacy graduate teaching certificate, an excellence in pharmacy education certificate, and a certification to be a HIV/AIDS 500/501 Counselor. Upon completing her fellowship, she was appointed assistant professor with a concentration in geriatrics at USF Taneja College of Pharmacy in Tampa, Florida. As part of her appointment, she currently performs clinical duties at the Byrd Institute mostly in the realm of Parkinson’s disease and with Reliance Medical Centers. She has also previously worked with a local Assisted Living Facility (ALF).  Dr. Cutler equally enjoys participating in community events including mentoring the youth and using her expertise to educate the community. While not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, her son, her family, traveling, exercising, playing volleyball, dancing, watching movies, and participating in church activities – all safely while enduring the pandemic.
