Javad Barouei

I received my Ph.D. in Food Science from the University of Newcastle, Australia (2013), and am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Food Science and Technology, University of California, Davis. My research has focused on whether gut microbiota modulations by probiotics and/or prebiotics can protect against chronic diseases/disorders such as obesity, type 2 diabetes and irritable bowel syndrome using murine models.
