Jean lectures advanced corporate finance at under- and postgraduate, as well as PhD levels. She has published extensively in both Australian and international journals, including A* ranked journals. She also has presented several papers at international conferences and at research seminars at other universities. She spent her sabbatical at Dartmouth University, USA and managed to teach into a MBA course in corporate finance. Jean is also active professionally. She is the longest serving member on the editorial board of JASSA and is also on the editorial board of the Global Business & Finance Review. She served as a principal lecturer for Finsia and served as a Council member for the South Australian division. Jean also has consulting experience in the field of corporate finance. She has held a number of administrative appointments within the university including as acting head of school, program coordinator both for domestic and international programs, plus serving on various committees both inside the university and in the private sector. Jean came to the university from the South Australian State Treasury.
