Planetarium Director, NASA Airborne Astronomy Ambassador, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee

I have been the Director of the Manfred Olson Planetarium at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) since 2007. In 2017, I participated in a bootcamp at the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science. In 2014, NASA selected me to be one of the 24 Airborne Astronomy Ambassadors. I have developed over 100 programs for general audiences to explain many different astronomical topics such as gravitational waves and evidence for the Big Bang. I have also explored other topics such as "Indigenous Voices: Sharing the Wisconsin Sky" to look at how several Nations in Wisconsin saw the cosmos. I taught Astronomy classes at UWM from 1999-2006. I was a postdoctoral researcher at Caltech from 1998-1999.
