Professor Jeffrey Braithwaite is a leading health services and systems researcher, internationally recognised for his work. He has considerable expertise in researching the culture and structure of acute settings, leadership, management and change in healthcare, quality and safety in healthcare, accreditation and surveying processes in international contexts and the restructuring of health services.

The International Society for Quality in Health Care has indicated his research is the most valuable international research in the field and amongst others the WHO and OECD have made extensive use of his work on quality indicators and improving patient safety.
