Jeffrey Davis is a Professor in the Political Science Department at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). He has taught human rights, international law, national security law, civil rights, refugee law, and comparative law for fifteen years, winning several teaching awards. He is the author of Seeking Human Rights Justice in Latin America (Cambridge University Press 2014) and Justice across Borders: The Struggle for Human Rights in U.S. Courts (Cambridge University Press 2008). Professor Davis has also published articles on national security law, human rights accountability, the inter-American human rights system, and judicial decision-making. Before joining UMBC, Professor Davis served as a government attorney.
