Jennifer Ingleheart

Jennifer Ingleheart is Professor of Latin at Durham University; she is interested in Latin love poetry, the place of the classical world in the history of sexuality, and the censorship of works with sexual content, both in the ancient and modern worlds. She was the curator of a 2018 exhibition at the Bodleian Library, Story of Phi, which put on public display for the first time pornographic works to which the Bodleian had previously restricted readers' access. Many of the works she put on display demonstrate how influential Rome has been on modern thinking about sex and sexuality.
