Jennifer Stone

A/Prof Stone PhD is an internationally recognized expert in mammographic density research: its environmental and genetic determinants, its measurement, the biology, and its translation into clinical practice by maximizing its enormous potential as a screening tool to identify and target women at higher risk of breast cancer. She has worked in three of the leading mammographic density research centre’s around the world in Toronto, London and Melbourne and has recently established her own research team at the University of Western Australia in Perth. A/Prof Stone maintains her strong international ties as part of several international consortiums dedicated to breast cancer and mammographic density research and continues to work closely with her former team at the University of Melbourne as an Honorary Staff member.
