Jeremy Strong holds a BA (Hons.) in English Literature from Exeter University, an MA in Cinema Studies from New York University, and a PhD from the Department of Film and Media Studies at the University of Stirling.

Chair since 2010 of the Association of Adaptation Studies, he is widely published in the field of literature-on-screen and other aspects of the relationships between different media. He serves on the editorial board of the journal Adaptation published by Oxford University Press and regularly reviews relevant journal articles, books and book proposals.

The other principal strand of his research interests is Food & Culture. He is the author of Educated Tastes: Food, Drink and Connoisseur Culture (2011), and other articles and conference papers on food

Mean Business (2013) is his first novel.
