Jess Garland

Having formerly worked as a senior political advisor, I have several years’ experience working in the Westminster Parliament both as a researcher and advisor. Before starting a PhD at Sussex University, I worked at the Electoral Reform Society on policy development and research, covering electoral systems, political participation and a range of constitutional and democratic reform issues.

My PhD research is focused on models of party affiliation and the changing relationship between political participants and party political organisation
