Jessica Gerrard is Senior Lecturer in Education, Equity and Politics. She researches the relationship of education to social change and politics, with a particular interest in issues surrounding equity, public education and work. In 2015 Jessica was awarded with an Early Career Award (Panel A) from the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia. Her monograph, Radical Childhoods: Schooling and the Struggle for Social Change, was published by Manchester University Press in 2014.
