Jess’ counseling philosophy is rooted in believing every individual has the potential for growth, healing, and positive change. She provides a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive space for clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Jess draws heavily from positive psychology and humanistic approaches, focusing on clients' strengths, values, and goals rather than solely on their problems and weaknesses. She strives to tailor her practice to each client’s unique needs and preferences, incorporating somatic healing techniques, CBT, DBT, and ACT. Jess aims to create a collaborative and empowering relationship with clients where they feel heard, respected, and valued. She encourages clients’ active participation by setting achievable goals, practicing self-care, and using their strengths to overcome challenges. A key component of Jess’ counseling style is helping clients develop a sense of self-awareness and self-compassion. By cultivating a greater understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, clients can learn to be more accepting and kind towards themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life. Jess helps clients gain skills and insights that can benefit them long after the therapeutic relationship has ended, equipping our clients with the tools and resources to continue growing and thriving after their program is complete.
