Jessica is a postdoctoral research fellow in the School of Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Leeds. Her current research focuses on novel virus-like particle (VLP) vaccines for poliovirus.

Previously, Jessica has worked as a postdoctoral research fellow investigating the entry mechanism of murine norovirus at the University of Leeds. Jessica completed her PhD at the Pirbright Institute and the University of Leeds working on the entry pathway of Foot-and-Mouth disease virus (FMDV) and the potential of VLP based vaccines against FMDV.
