Jessica Trisko Darden is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at Virginia Commonwealth University and a Non-Resident Fellow with the George Washington University's Program on Extremism. Her research focuses on the intersection of conflict and international development. She is the author of "Aiding and Abetting: US Foreign Assistance and State Violence" (Stanford 2020) and co-author of "Women as War Criminals: Gender, Agency, and Justice" (Stanford 2020) and "Insurgent Women: Female Combatants in Civil Wars" (Georgetown 2019).
