Dr Jessica Young is a sociologist and senior research fellow at Victoria University of Wellington in Aotearoa New Zealand. Her PhD and post-doctoral research focused on people’s experiences of applying for assisted dying, their families and assisted dying providers. She is leading the first national study on assisted dying, funded by the New Zealand Health Research Council. Jessica was a founding member of the statutory body, Support and Consultation for End of Life NZ (SCENZ) Group.
