Joan Ricart-Huguet is a Postdoctoral Associate and Lecturer at the Program on Ethics, Politics, & Economics at Yale University and an Assistant Professor at Loyola University Maryland. He studies comparative politics and historical political economy. His interests include political elite formation, colonial legacies, culture, and development, with a focus on Africa. He received his PhD in Politics from Princeton, an MA in Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences from Columbia as a recipient of la Caixa Graduate Fellowship, and a BA in Political Science and Public Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).
