Research Fellow, La Trobe University

I initially trained as a special needs teacher before completing my MSc in Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) in 2009. My MSc project explored the use of dynamic assessment to discriminate language disorder from language difference in bilingual children. Since graduating as an SLT, I have worked in various clinical paediatric roles in London and Melbourne. I completed my PhD in 2018 which examined maternal behaviours in relation to early language development within a disadvantaged cohort. Since July 2018, I have worked as a Research Fellow and Speech Pathologist at La Trobe University, Melbourne where I support projects evaluating early assessment and intervention for autistic children.
