PhD candidate in data visualisation, robotics and creative computing, Cardiff Metropolitan University

I am a PhD researcher at Cardiff Metropolitan University in the Cardiff School Of Technologies.

My research focuses on the aesthetic visualisation to depict uncertainty in data visualisations for strategic decision making. Working PhD title- Developing an uncertainty visualisation framework: An investigation into how aesthetic factors may enhance a person’s perceptions of uncertainty in real-world data visualisations. Currently researching novel methods to aesthetically visualise uncertainty in data visualisations to improve the decision-making process. I am interested in how the design of visualisations can influence perceptions.

A member of the Eureka robotics lab: Researching the effect of aesthetic manipulation of a persons ability to trust and utilise robotics. Particularly interested in the design requirements of a robots visual outputs (facial screen/chest screen etc).
