John-Erik Hansson

I am a PhD student (History) at the European University Institute in Florence, where I work on the radical thinker and author, William Godwin (1756-1836). I am specifically interested in the relationship between his political and educational philosophy on the one hand, and his activity as a children's book author on the other. I was also a student representative for the year 2014. Before this, I completed an MA in the History of Political Thought at the University of Exeter, and did a BA in Political Science from McGill University.

In my spare time I read a lot of Terry Pratchett, and play electric and bass guitar.
