I am a professor of political behaviour at Queen's University Belfast. I am the Principal Investigator on the ESRC funded 'Northern Ireland Assembly Election Study 2016' project, and and the Principal Investigator on the ESRC funded ‘The UK/Ireland Border and the Stability of Peace and Security in Northern Ireland’ study focusing on Brexit and Northern Ireland'. My research interests focus on electoral and deliberative democracy. My most recent book is 'Consociation and Voting in Northern Ireland', published by University of Pennsylvania Press.
