John Stittle is Senior Lecturer in Accounting at Essex Business School. His research interests are focused on the railway industry, particularly the privatisation of the UK railway industry, Railtrack's track access charges and the financing of Network Rail.

He also researches social and ethical issues in corporate reporting - how companies deliver their annual reports, what they do and don't include in them in the UK and across Europe.
