Jonathan M. Gilligan

Associate Professor of Earth & Environmental Sciences, Associate Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Associate Director for Research, Vanderbilt Climate Change Research Network Vanderbilt University. Jonathan Gilligan works primarily at the intersection of natural science, social science, and public policy with a focus on coupled human-natural systems and on the ways in which scientific knowledge and uncertainty affect policy decisions about the environment. He and Michael Vandenbergh jointly won the 2017 Morrison Prize for the highest-impact paper of the previous year on sustainability law and policy.
