Joni Lakin received her Ph.D. in Psychological and Quantitative Foundations from The University of Iowa in 2010. She was an AERA-ETS Postdoctoral Fellow at Educational Testing Service from 2010-2011. She conducts educational measurement research related to test validity and fairness with a particular interest in the accessibility of tests for English learner students. Her teaching interests include educational research methods and statistics; educational measurement; instrument development; human abilities. She researches educational measurement; test validity and fairness; English language learners; assessment of individual differences (human abilities, interests, personality).
