The author studied both "Economics" and "Business Administration & Management" at the University of Zaragoza (Spain), finishing his last year at the KU Leuven (Belgium) and Reims Management School (France), respectively. Subsequently, he obtained a Phd. in Economics and Management of Organizations at the University of Zaragoza (2012), obtaining the award from the Economic and Social Council of Aragon (CESA in Spanish) for the best doctoral thesis of the year.
His training has been completed as an economist for two years at the General Directorate of Economic Policy of the Government of Aragon (Spain), as well as teaching stay at InHolland University (Holland) and research stay at the KU Leuven (Antwerp campus). Prior to his current job as associate professor, he worked for several years at the Defense University Center (Ministry of Defense of Spain).
One of his research topics of interest is "Gender" in organizations, obtaining the XII Prize of the Research Seminar on Women's Studies at the University of Zaragoza (SIEM in Spanish). Other topics that he investigates is "Foreign Direct Investment": determining factors for companies to invest in other destinations. Currently, his main field of research is focused on "Public-Private Partnerships", mainly the study of their success factors, governance structures and legal framework. His research has been carried out within the CREVALOR research group.
He has published in journals such as the Journal of International Management, Public Management Review, Socio Economic Planning Sciences, Sustainable Development, International Journal of Emerging Markets or Finance Research Letters. In the same way, he has also published on various topics of applied economics in different more informative journals.
