Dr. Joshua Kane received his doctorate in sociology in 2008 from the University of Washington at Seattle, specializing in Political Economy and American Race and Ethnic Relations. He is published in the American Journal of Sociology along with other various socio-political texts and magazines. He is currently a Lecturer in Sociology and Integrative Social Science at Arizona State University in the College of Integrative Science and Arts and Chair of the CISA Antiracism Textbook Taskforce. He has instructed and constructed a wide range of social science courses at the university level – including core courses in sociology, research methods, diversity studies, statistics, political science, economics, STS, ethics, psychology, constitutional law, American government, creative and critical thinking, human relations, social/occupational skills, marriage/family, and popular culture.
