Juan Manuel Casal

Juan Manuel Casal is Professor of History at the Universidad de Montevideo. He was full-time researcher at the Universidad de la República (Uruguay) and professor, visiting professor, and lecturer at universities and colleges in Brazil, Argentina, the US, Chile, and Italy. His research focuses on militarism and intellectual culture in Latin America in the 19th and 20th centuries. He has published several books, chapters and articles on these topics in the US, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Paraguay.
