Judd Thornton’s research and teaching interests include public opinion, political psychology and voting behavior. In particular, he is interested in how an individual’s social and political context influences his or her political attitudes and behavior. His recent work has examined partisan ambivalence, ideological constraint, and the influence of political discussion networks.
