Judith Fathallah is an Outreach and Research Associate at Lancaster University and a Research Fellow at Coventry.
Her interests are new and digital media, fan and subcultures, popular music, and digital literacies. She is currently a member of the COPIM project (Community-Led Infrastructures for Open Access Books), which seeks to research and develop community-owned infrastructures for the publication of open access books.
She is the author of Emo: How Fans Defined a Subculture (Iowa University Press 2020) and Fanfiction and the Author: How Fanfic Changes Popular Cultural Texts (Amsterdam University Press 2017).
