Judith Ireland

Judith is The Conversation's education editor, covering early childhood, schools, tertiary education and parenting. Before this, she was a deputy editor in the politics + society team, with a focus on Australian politics and social affairs.

Judith joined The Conversation from The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, where she was a social affairs correspondent, political reporter and columnist. She has been a member of the Canberra press gallery since 2011.

She has also been a reporter for The Canberra Times and policy adviser in The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. She has a masters in international relations from Cambridge University and an honours degree in government from Sydney University.
