Judith is an urban geographer interested in housing development. Her qualitative research looks at the US-American housing crisis from below, focusing on the experiences of people on the ground and shifts in trust relations. Her approach to urban studies is very much informed by a social justice agenda and the right to the city movement. Judith is also a member of the graduate program "Authority and Trust in American Culture, Society, History, and Politics" at the Heidelberg Center for American Studies and the Geographies of North America working group at Heidelberg University, Germany as well as at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign.
