Associate Professor, School of Medicine, University of Wollongong

Associate Professor Judy Mullan, is a senior academic within the School of Medicine and the Academic Director of the Centre for Health Research Illawarra Shoalhaven Population (CHRISP) at the University of Wollongong (UOW). She is also the Deputy Director of the Illawarra and Southern Practice Research Network (ISPRN) a collective of over 50 GP practices, and a registered pharmacist.

A/Prof Mullan is recognised nationally and internationally for her work supporting and promoting safe medication management, health literacy and patient-centered care. She is a member of the Australian & New Zealand Medical Deans’ Prescribing Safety Assessment (PSA) Working Group (PSAWG), the international European Association for Communication in Healthcare subcommittee (pEACH), the International Health Literacy Network and the International Association for Medical Education.
