Julaine is Director of Research at Western NSW Local Health District, Honorary Senior Research Fellow at University of QLD, conjoint academic at the National Drug And Alcohol Research Centre, UNSW and Social Work Lecturer at Charles Sturt University.
Julaine is a researcher-practitioner in substance use with a background in social work and human rights. . She has worked in mental health, child protection and vocational education. Her current research investigates the implementation of psycho-social interventions for substance dependence and the provision of drug and alcohol and mental health services particularly for people with cognitive impairment.
