Julius A. Ellrich

Postdoctoral Fellow, Marine ecology, St. Francis Xavier University

I am a marine ecologist examining predator-prey interactions, predator nonconsumptive effects on prey populations, trait-mediated indirect interactions and the function of foundation species in benthic communities. For my research, I am using rocky intertidal organisms as model systems. Currently, I am investigating benthic-pelagic coupling along the Canadian Atlantic coast, biological invasions on the Japanese Pacific coast and plastic pollution in the Mediterranean Sea.
